A PG-rated Nintendo video game that sold out in a Hamilton store the week it was released has been banned for sale in Australia after concerns it contained child pornography.

Dead or Alive: Dimensions, which features scantily clad animated warriors who can be photographed by the player up the skirt, was banned by Australia's Classification Board from sale until it is re-submitted for classification.

Meanwhile, the game remains on sale in New Zealand after chief censor Dr Andrew Jack called the game in for classification.
