The Ticket Direct website has been swamped with Chiefs season members wanting to get their hands on tickets to the final.
Member sales opened at midday and in the scramble to secure their own slice of sporting history many members were left waiting an agonising few hours until there orders were processed.
In a message to its season members, the Chiefs apologised for the delay.
''We apologise that TicketDirect are experiencing problems with the Season Members website portal due to unprecedented demand,'' they said.
Please bear with us and understand that the Chiefs and TicketDirect staff can only use the same website portal for season member purchases so we have to follow the same process to reactivate your Membership Seats.''
Season Members can buy their usual seat, and add up to 10 more.
Any members seats which have not been re-activated by midnight Tuesday will be sold to the public - there won't be an extension as there is no time available.
Tickets go on sale to the public at 8am Wednesday from Ticket Direct, at Waikato Stadium and from Warehouse stores from 8.30am.
