One woman was taken to Waikato Hospital with moderate injuries this morning after her car hit a fallen tree on Seddon Road, Waitoa.
It is understood that two other cars also hit the fallen tree near a bend on the rural Waikato road but there were no reports of further injuries.
Inspector Ian Brooker from the Police northern communications centre said the tree had fallen, blocking three quarters of the road.
The tree is now being cleared and motorists are being advised to drive with caution through the area.
