A 17 year old was winched from a boat off the Raglan coast yesterday after reacting to the sting of a bluebottle jellyfish.
Hamilton Westpac Rescue Helicopter pilot Dan Harcourt was involved in winching the teenager from a small boat near Gannet Island.
He was understood to be suffering an anaphylactic reaction and was flown to Waikato Hospital for further treatment.
