LATEST: A 64-year-old woman was killed and another injured when an all-terrain vehicle rolled on a Waikato farm this afternoon.

Senior sergeant Rupert Friend, of Huntly Police, said the vehicle rolled down a bank, but couldn't say whether the deceased woman was the driver or passenger.

''It's going to be investigated by the Labour Department as well as the police serious crash unit," Mr Friend said.

"All vehicles are dangerous and people must treat them with care at all times whether on the road or not.''

Emergency services were called to the scene at 164 Findlay Rd, Maramarua, about 12.40pm and have been there throughout the afternoon.

The address is listed as the base for Soppets Transport Ltd but, when called, they would not comment on the incident.

Police northern communications Inspector Kerry Watson said there was another person on the vehicle when it rolled but their injuries were not serious.
