Dairy prices rise

Dairy prices have risen 2.4 per cent on Fonterra’s latest online commodity auction.

GlobalDairyTrade event 76 concluded over night with the 2.4 per cent rise driven by a 4.7 per cent rise in skim milk powder prices to US$3,339/MT and a 4.2 per cent rise in rennet casein prices to US$8,145/MT.

Whole milk powder prices rose two per cent to US$3,036/MT and cheddar prices one per cent to US$3,589/MT

Anhydrous milk fat prices fell 9.8 per cent to US$3,199/MT, milk protein concentrate prices fell 3.4 per cent to US$5,953/MT and butter milk powder prices fell two per cent to US$3,029/MT.
