It's nearly full house at Mystery Creek Events Centre for the Fieldays in June with outdoor agribusiness sites and the premier pavilion precinct already sold out.

Exhibition sites are also getting scarce as the countdown begins to the 45th annual event, this year showcasing the theme Getting Down to Business in the Global Economy.

Fieldays chief executive Jon Calder says demand for sites this year has exceeded expectations with hopes high that records will be broken.

In line with this year's international theme, interest has been strong from overseas companies, he says.

The events centre has been contacted by Chinese delgates, several Russian exhibitors and a Canadian dairy company that is making its first visit to exhibit in New Zealand.

A delegation from India, including government ministers, is also expected following Fieldays newly formed relationship with the Agrotech Expo, held in North India's Chandigarth.

The Fieldays will be held on June 12-15.
