Diggers Bar: Despite a narrow frontage, it can hold 180 people.

Heritage Hamilton hospitality-zone landmark Diggers Bar is for sale.

The 110-year-old property in Hood St is being sold as a freehold going concern by deadline private treaty by its owner-operator, Craig Williamson, who is retiring after 14 years.

Despite it's narrow facade, the character building can accommodate 180 people in its bar, two function rooms and outdoor-seating areas. It is a category 2 heritage-listed building.

Marketer John Hagar, of Colliers International, says the bar is fitted with natural timber, including a full-length kauri bar, wagon wheels and wine barrels. The building, kitchen and bar have recently had major renovation and refurbishment, he said.

Diggers is a category 2 heritage-listed building.

The deadline private treaty closes at 4pm on March 8.
