Elisabeth Cowan of Kamahi Cottage 5-Star Farmstay near Otorohanga tells Chris Gardner why nothing beats her Samsung Galaxy S3.
What's your favourite gadget?
My Samsung Galaxy S3 smartphone
What do you mainly use it for?
It's my diary, my shopping aid (no more pieces of paper with carefully constructed lists of shopping essentials left on the desk at home!), my mobile office and my lightweight camera on the go.
I run a small accommodation business (Kamahi Cottage 5-Star Farmstay) and need to be able to monitor emails whenever I'm out. I'm a bit obsessive about replying promptly to people, so easily accessed email is essential. The Samsung is such a great phone, though, that I often find myself browsing the web at home while I'm having a coffee or a break. The screen resolution and size is perfect for most applications - I probably use the phone more than the laptop these days.
I'm also particularly impressed with the camera. The built-in photo editing beats anything I've experienced in previous smartphones.
The other app I use constantly is the Calendar . . . beats the one in my old iPhone hands down!
What would you change to make it better?
Um . . . nothing currently comes to mind.
