Chnl chosen by Paul Spain, of Gorilla Technology and the NZ Tech Podcast.

Do you struggle to stay on top of social media such as Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn or YouTube? I realise there is a lot of interesting content shared with me on these networks that I miss.

Chnl (pronounced "channel") is a new web application designed to collate the best content that is shared with you through social media. Using it is as simple as signing up for a free account at and then connecting to your social networks.

The view that Chnl offers is one where casual Facebook or twitter chit chat is bypassed in preference to content such as news, editorial, photos or videos. Built in is functionality to capture content you may wish to come back to later. You can also filter your view to see, for example, just videos.

Chnl operates via the browser on your PC, tablet or smartphone and is well worth a look.
