TVNZ On Demand, chosen by Paul Spain of Gorilla Technology and NZ Tech Podcast.
It's a changing world when it comes to TV.
This year traditional analogue TV broadcasts will be discontinued and all viewing of TV will be over a digital connection - such as Freeview (aerial or satellite), Sky (satellite) or the internet.
As part of that transition, broadcasters are increasing the ways in which news and programming can be consumed. The latest wave of this access to programmes is anytime and anywhere via the web, Smart TVs and smartphone/tablet apps.
TVNZ's latest On Demand app brings viewing of a large catalogue of programmes they broadcast to iPhones, iPads and iPods. The app is available from their app store. Other platforms that offer the TVNZ On Demand app include Sony's PlayStation 3 and Samsung Smart TVs. Don't expect the advertising to disappear - the TVNZ On Demand app includes it, although in shorter blocks than on broadcast TV.
