Karapiro’s Beverly Wilson made sure she was at the head of the Cambridge queue lining up to meet Olympic gold medallist Valerie Adams last Sunday.

Adams popped in briefly to The Warehouse to sign copies of her new book, Valerie – the Autobiography.
“I made sure I got here really early; I was worried there would be a long queue outside the door,” said Beverly.

“Valerie is a bit of a hero for me.  I’ve bought her book and it’s very exciting to be able to meet her in person.”
Adams brought her hard-won gold medal with her to show the crowds.  She is doing a whistlestop tour of several centres to promote her book.
