EXCLUSIVE: Survivor victim Elizabeth Kim has slammed her tribe, calling her controversial team mate Russell Hantz a "chauvinist pig" who had "hoodwinked" the rest of the team.
Kim, a 33-year-old lawyer from New York nicknamed "Liz", became the eighth person to leave Survivor: Samoa - and the sixth to leave her tribe Foa Foa - after Hantz took a dislike to her and orchestrated her downfall.
In an interview with Stuff.co.nz, Kim criticised Hantz and said her tribe should have voted off Jaison Robinson after his weak performance in challenges.
"Russell is a male chauvinist pig," she said. "I was a strong, opinionated woman who played the game well and he didn't like that. He was very threatened by that.
"Jaison is growing weaker episode by episode. It's much easier for Russell to control Jaison than me ... I just got the short end of the stick."
Kim claimed the remaining members of her tribe were "hoodwinked" by Hantz and questioned their judgement.
"They wouldn't listen to me. They each thought that Russell was going to take them to the end and they trusted him.
"They wouldn't trust me (but) I'm not the one calling them part of my 'dumb ass girls' alliance. It kills me that they didn't go along with me. It would have been a different game had we blindsided Russell."
Kim said she knew from her first night on Samoa that she couldn't trust Hantz after he lied about his involvement in Hurricane Katrina.
"I was right next to him (and) he was going on, saying his house was flooding and his dog disappeared.
"I have a dog. No dog just disappears like that. No dog turns its back on its owner. That's when I knew something was up. This guy was pretty fishy, he's slippery and the facts aren't adding up."
She was disappointed she didn't make it to next week's merge, in which Foa Foa will join forces with opposing tribe Galu.
"We lost eight out of 10 challenges. That's a record. If we'd won even one of those challenges I would have made it to the merge.
"And I would have flipped."
* Survivor: Samoa screens on TV3 on Thursday nights at 7.30pm. Stuff.co.nz will interview every contestant as they are eliminated.

haha shame liz...she got outwitted by russell and is just being a sore loser about it. people like russell are the ones that make survivor worth watching coz theyre just so devious! love him or hate him, he makes the drama and mindgames on survivor so watchable week after week.
It's funny how you get the same people coming back every week saying how bad the show is.
True champions.
Stephen and Robert...always gotta be someone who makes a comment to try and stir things up. Why do you bother? If you hate it so much why bother to waste your time commenting? And here I am feeding your "need". The Russell seed is making it so entertaining. MCP or not he is playing the game...bring it on!!!
#7 Amy - Def agree with you. I'll never get sick of watching Survivor. Russell annoys me, but he's playing the game well. Hoping he wins...wouldnt mind if Shambo wins either!
She went home because Hantz thought she would flip and she herself said so "And I would have flipped." No so much a MCP as just a good player.
after all of the seasons i still LOVE survivor, if only because people never ever learn!
I love it how she says she was onto russel and yet she was sucking up to him all through the game, also she said in tribal she trusts everyone in her team, she was definately part of the dumb girl alliance!
personally i didn't think Russel would last so long, but now I kind of hope he wins, love him or hate him hes at least playing it better than anyone else!
come on stephen and robert you read the whole article to say you dont watch this program. Don't kid yourself YOU LOVE IT, come on say it
@ Stephen #3 yet here you are... reading the article. and even writing a comment...
