The fourth The Dark Knight Rises trailer reveals more of Anne Hathaway as the latest incarnation of Batman's feline foe: Time to look at earlier takes on the comic heroine.
Catwoman made her first on-screen appearance in the 1966 TV series Batman, played by Julie Newmar in the first two seasons, and by Eartha Kitt in the final third season. This version focused mostly on her sexy catsuit and didn't provide a background or an alter ego for her.
The first feature film to include an adaptation of Catwoman was Batman, produced immediately after the first season of 1966 TV show. As Newmar wasn't available, former Miss America Lee Meriwether portrayed the character.
But most of us will think of either Michelle Pfeiffer in Batman Returns (1992) or Halle Berry in Catowman (2004).
While Pfeiffer's Catwoman was by day Selina Kyle, a lonely, frustrated, yet dutiful and efficient secretary, Berry's Catwoman bore little resemblance to the comic book version.
Berry portrayed Patience Phillips, a woman who becomes Catwoman after a near-death experience, in the movie that was panned by critics. Having nothing to do with neither Batman nor Gotham City, Berry's masked lady was seen by many as "Catwoman only in name".
Now it is Anne Hathaway turn to take up the iconic role in The Dark Knight Rises.
Director Christopher Nolan has given his first two Batman movies are dark and stylish look, so it's fair to expect that Hathaway's Catwoman will be less corny than her predecessors.
While Pfeiffer's latex costume would become "vacuum-packed" to her lithe body, Berry's ensemble was reminiscent of raunchy bondage attire.
What we've seen so far of Hathaway's costume, her skin-tight, zip-up bodysuit looks both sexy and functional.
The new trailer shows Hathaway's staunch approach, as she rides motorbikes and passes herself of as Bruce Wayne's wife.
So what do you think, who is the hottest Catwoman?
