Would Sam Claflin make a good Finnick Odair?
After months of speculations producers are finally looming in on choosing an actor for the role of Finnick Odair in The Hunger Games: Catching Fire.
Variety reports that British actor Sam Claflin, who recently stared in Snow White and The Huntsman, has been picked to play the incredibly handsome veteran tribute from District 4.
Fans of the trilogy have been anxious to learn who would be joining the stellar cast, which includes Jennifer Lawrence and Josh Hutcherson after Twilight's Robert Pattinson and John Carter/Battleship eye-candy Taylor Kitsch had been ruled out by the producers at Liongate Studios.
Additionally, sources say that Oscar winner Melissa Leo and three-time Emmy winner Tony Shalhoub are the frontrunners to play Finnick's former mentor Mags and former tribute Beetee, respectively.
Lionsgate and all of the actors' respective reps had no comment on the casting.
Last week it was announced that Oscar winner Philip Seymour Hoffman, who earned the best-actor Oscar for 2005's Capote, had singed on to play Plutarch Heavensbee, the new head game-maker overseeing an annual televised fight to the death staged by a repressive government in post-apocalyptic North America. Sucker Punch actress Jena Malone would also be joining the cast for the role of Johanna Mason.
Catching Fire is set to hit theatres in November 2013.
What do you think - does Sam Claflin fit the role?
