Kanye West has apparently refused to appear on the new season of Keeping Up with the Kardashians because it will make him look "cheap".
The rapper and his reality TV star girlfriend Kim Kardashian are expecting their first child.
Whereas the show helped Kardashian find fame, the musician is allegedly not as keen to appear on the popular series.
"Kanye has made it perfectly clear to Kardashian that he doesn't want to appear at all on Keeping Up with the Kardashians," a source explained to RadarOnline.
"He has made several brief appearances on the Kardashian reality shows, but wants nothing to do with future filming. Kanye's team believes it's bad for his image and brand to appear on a reality show because it makes him look cheap."
The 32-year-old mom-to-be has apparently had to make her peace with the decision.
However, she is reportedly hoping to coax him into making small appearances as it's always been important to her that boyfriends feature on the show.
"Kim isn't pushing the issue at all as she knows Kanye won't bend on it," the insider continued.
"It's such a departure for Kim because she constantly nagged Reggie Bush when they were dating for him to come on the show. He just refused, and it was one of the reasons why they broke up. Kim will probably be able to talk Kanye into doing several cameos, but that will be it."
Kardashian's sister Kourtney famously let the births of her two children Penelope and Mason be broadcast on their reality show.
Whereas Kardashian recently denied rumours she was planning to leave the programme, she did admit she was hoping to maintain more privacy in future.
"My boyfriend has taught me a lot about privacy," she told DuJour magazine.
"I'm ready to be a little less open about some things, like my relationships. I'm realising everyone doesn't need to know everything."
