Top five things to do this weekend
The regatta is an integral part of Ngaruawahia's history and this Saturday the event will celebrate 120 years of showcasing the Waikato River and wider community.
It has survived two world wars and according to organisers, is the second oldest regatta in the South Pacific.
Organisers have brought woodchopping back into the mix, among a range of other activities such as waka rides, pole jousting, kapa haka performances and much more.
When: Friday, 9am - 3pm
Saturday, 9am - 5pm (the big day)

TE TOTARA PRIMARY SCHOOL GALA
Grab the family and head along to Te Totara Primary School's gala day on Saturday.
There will be a bouncy castle, slippery slide, bumperballs, horizontal bungee, entertainment, lollies, funky fashion, cake stalls, Mamma's donuts and raggles. Lots of family fun to be had.

LARK IN THE PARK
A fun-filled doggy day for your best pawed pal on Sunday with exhibitors, competitions, demonstrations and activities.
