It's coming up to Christmas and since the traditional pressie for the music fan of a Big Day Out ticket is now no longer an option, this concert might just prove a worthy replacement.

The Classic Hits Winery Tour has been around for a while now and while it isn't due to reach Hamilton until March, it's already looming as one of the best lineups we've seen on stage in one place.

There's everyone's favourite Kiwi band, Fat Freddy's Drop, topping the bill - reason enough to buy a ticket - and they'll be fresh from doing the hard yards on their new album.

They're joined by the newly minted Anika, Boh and Hollie, who themselves are worthy of topping the bill.

This trio of talented singers put on a sublime show at St Paul's Collegiate in October. They have an album ready to go and will only get better the more they work together.

Then there are The Adults, who are already something of a mini-super group.

The Adults are Shihad's Jon Toogood, Julia Deans from Fur Patrol and former Straightjacket Fits powerhouse Shayne Carter, and in 2011 they hands down put on the gig of the year in Hamilton when they absolutely rocked Gravity Bar.

Throw them all together and this really is a show to savour, or save your pennies for a ticket.

Hamilton hosts the final leg of the winery tour so you'd expect there to be a bit of a group sing-along from the performers to wrap things up.

And any stage which can collectively host Warren Maxwell, Anika Moa, Hollie Smith, Julia Deans, Jon Toogood, Shayne Carter, and all the rest of them, is going to be a stage worth being settled in front of.

Tickets for the Classic Hits Winery Tour, which is at Mystery Creek Wines on March 3, are $75.

And anyone who buys a ticket, up to December 21, goes into the draw to win a Golden Ticket plus, which includes the opportunity to win two tickets to their local Winery Tour show, VIP entry, a hamper and bottle of wine for two. The prize is not only valid for next year, but for 2014 and every year after that the winery tour is held.

But we can do better than that:

We've got two double passes to the Classic Hits Winery Tour to give away. Email features@waikatotimes.co.nz with Super Group in the subject line before the end of next Monday and you'll go in the draw.
