KIDS SUPERHERO CARNIVAL 2013
Throw on your super parent cape, jump in the mummobile and take the kids to the Superhero Carnival in Garden Place this Saturday. Let the kids try out those ''superpowers'' on the inflatable obstacle course, get their face painted. Word is that Batman and The Joker will be there getting up to mischief. For those with little ones, there's special toddler area. And a photobooth.
Speaking of kids dressed as superheroes, this little boy had the ultimate superhero experience.
Market Place will be filled to the brim with stalls selling handmade vintage and retro wares, collectibles and clothes. The Coffee Guy will be there to cater to your caffeine needs, there will be a sausage sizzle and a cake stand - all proceeds will go to Bellyful. It's at the Hillcrest Chapel Creche, on the corner of Masters Ave and Morris Road.
VICTORIA STREET CHRISTMAS MINI MARKET DAY
Can you sniff out a bargain from a mile away? Then you'll probably already be going to the mini market on Victoria St this Saturday from 10am - 4pm. David Elman Shoes, Gregory, The Scullery and Urge have teamed up for the day and each store will be offering wicked discounts - which is great, if you're like me and have left ALL of you pressie shopping to the last minute.
TE RAPA CHRISTMAS AT THE RACES
It's race day! Tomorrow is the biggest race day of the year in Hamilton and it includes, drum roll please, the Waikato Times Gold Cup. It's an all day affair - 10am to 7pm - and almost always a good time. Last year the weather really turned it on for the punters - stunning blue skies and sunshine. Let's hope tomorrow goes the same. But guys, please drink responsibly and have a sober driver and be safe.
A FEW MORE THINGS
There's so much going on this December. The Temple View lights are switched on tonight and Christmas in the Park Flagstaff is on this Sunday. Plus the next Ngaruawahia section of the Waikato Expressway has its official openning at 11.30am tomorrow. It can be accessed from the Horotiu/Te Rapa roundabouts.
If you know of an event or gig happening in the Waikato, email firstname.lastname@example.org with the details.
