CAKES TO DIE FOR
Talk of the Tron loves dispatches from our readers and we had to share this one from Debra Dent-Allen with you. She writes:
“Thought I would let you guys know of an amazing little cupcake store that opened . It's called The Girl on The Swing and sells the most amazing cupcakes (gluten free + vegan), cakes and fudge to die for!
“They also sell everything you need to make your own cupcakes, and offer cupcake icing classes. The store has opened in Lynden Court, opposite Westfield Chartwell.
“Apparently there were people waiting for the doors to open at 8am this morning.”
We are sold.
A SHOP HAM EAST LIKES
While the whole city has been (rightly) busy fighting to have one particular Grey St shop closed Hamilton East residents have been quietly enjoying the opening of another.
The owners of the old Hamilton East Green Grocer have re-opened their shop as a superette, much to the delight of locals.
They offer a fantastic range of fresh food and grocery items, are open until 7.30pm each night and are pretty darn cheap.
Expect Eastside residents to use this as yet another reason to never cross the river unless absolutely necessary.
THREE WISE MEN
High-end menswear chain 3 Wise Men have opened on Ward St.
The brand is well known for its range of business shirts and quirky ties and socks but what has everyone talking is the interior of the shop – a one-tonne Macrocarpa slab of raw timber.
Find them at 25 Ward St.
