Raglan artist Chris Meek opens his new studio in Raglan, named Studeo Gallery. It's at 21 Cross St, and the opening exhibition features work by Meek, Brigid Allan and Shelley Meek. The opening event is at 5.30pm.

Te Matara o Te Haerenga, an exhibition about Te Puea and Te Pou o Mangatawhiri, opens at Waikato Museum.

Tractor FM's Halloween Ball at the Yot Club in Raglan for a fiver. Dress up.

Saturday, October 27

Kimbra plays at the Danforth Music Hall in Toronto on Saturday night.

The Shrugs' album release party is at the Yot Club in Raglan. They play with Rose and the Wooden Hearts and Mimi and Rivers. It's a tenner.

Sunday, October 28

Louise Willis stages a solo exhibition, Evoke, at the Veranda Function Centre at Hamilton Lake today from 3pm to 6.30pm.

The Grammy-nominated Enso String Quartet and German pianist Michael Endres perform at the Gallagher Academy of Performing Arts at Waikato University at 5.30pm.
