The Original Stoke Bomber. Kiwi Pale Ale (KPA).

Delivered in a man-sized, 650ml bottle, and in packaging alone, the McCashin Family's KPA evokes memories of old school bar leaners, smokey rooms, 10pm closing and seasoned patrons chewing the fat at the local.

Taste- wise, it's a different story. There's nothing public bar about a product that lays claim to an "aroma of biscuits" or that counts marmalade among its flavours (or "hints", as the beers snobs would put it).

Light but complex, with a decent 5.5 per cent kick, the sweet and the spicy are kept pleasantly in check. Among the best NZ craft beers going.
