Local lads go pink for breast cancer
It takes a special kind of lad to ditch his everyday attire and replace it with pink jeans, pink shoes, a pink hat and a pink bow tie.
Every year, that is exactly what Matamata College students Jeremy Jeffcoat and Campbell Bolton-Hampton do.
They dress up in their pink gear and walk the streets of Matamata as volunteer collectors for the New Zealand Breast Cancer Foundation’s Pink Ribbon Day Appeal.
This year Jeremy said the response had been fantastic with many Matamata residents giving generously.
If you see Jeremy and Campbell or any other Pink Ribbon volunteer collectors, please show your support.
