Burglars take winter woolies
Thieves brazenly burgled a Kathmandu store in Hamilton's central business district overnight.
The offenders forced their way in through the front doors of the store on Bryce St, opposite Centre Place, just after 1am, Senior Sergeant Pete van de Wetering of the Waikato district command centre said.
Despite the "unsophisticated" mode of entry, Wetering said the offenders were in and out within a few minutes.
Wetering said two vehicles were used in the burglary but he could not say how many people were involved.
The thieves made off with winter clothing including "a lot of puffer jackets", he said.
