Latest statistics from NIWA have revealed Hamilton residents enjoyed a warm autumn with plenty of sunshine.
During March, April and May, Hamilton clocked up 564 hours of sunshine, up 17 per cent from normal levels and recorded a mean temperature of 14.8 degrees, up from the normal average of 14.2 degrees.
Hamilton Airport measured below-average rainfall at 248mm, which was 89 per cent of normal autumn levels.
Auckland was the warmest and driest, Tauranga was the sunniest, Dunedin was the coolest and cloudiest, and Wellington was the wettest.
