Winston Peters will visit Garden Place today for a mix and mingle with the Hamilton population.

The NZ First leader will be there at 12:45pm for an informal chat with the public.

"It's just to have a look around and catch up with people," NZ First list MP Barbara Stewart said.

Peters will be joined by Stewart and two other NZ First candidates, including Hamilton West candidate Bill Gudgeon.

The group will be available to answer questions.

Stewart said Peters was hoping to speak to all types of people tomorrow and would be happy to discuss NZ First policies.

"We realise there's huge amounts of needs that need addressing, there is a huge number of people who have fallen beneath the radar."

Stewart, who is based in Hamilton, said she was particularly interested in addressing the disability sector.

There were "100,000 seriously disabled people" in New Zealand who seemed to be forgotten.

"One of the things we would like to see is a select committee report on disability because that has never been implemented."
