RED CROSS BOOK FAIR
The Red Cross's 18th annual book fair opens at the Te Rapa Racecourse today, 9am-7pm. It is also on Saturday 10am-5pm and Sunday 10am-4pm.
HOT AUGUST NIGHT
Irish musician and singer Peter Byre and the 30 piece New Zealand International Orchestra are bringing the magic of Neil Diamond to Founders Theatre tonight. The performance is celebrating the live recording of Hot August Night. General admission tickets are $49.
SCALLYWAGS AND MUNCHKINS MARKET
Head along to the Scallywags and Munckin market at Chartwell Cooperating Church (St Albans) this Saturday between 1.30-4.30pm. You'll find new and pre-loved baby, children's and maternity wear, toys and books, nursery furniture and baby goods, gifts and accessories. It's $1 entry for adults and children are free.
CRAZY DIAMOND BURLESQUE
Glamilton icon Dr Ezy is hosting Crazy Diamond Burlesque, starring local burlesque artist Azure D'Murre and Pixie Twistm and drag sister, DiVa at Meteor Theatre this Saturday.

WAIWHAKAREKE RESTORATION PROJECT
Take part in the restoration project at Waiwhakareke Natural Heritage Park this Saturday, 9am-12pm. It is a 500 year project to restore farmland into an ecological area with peat lakes.
