A Whangamata man who took crayfish illegally has been fined $3820 and has forfeited his boat.
Ian Michael Wotherspoon, 47, pleaded guilty in the Waihi District Court last Friday. Charges included using more than three crayfish pots and having more than three times the daily limit of crayfish.
