A Hamilton man will have time to reassess his navigation skills today after being arrested early this morning attempting a "shortcut" through a woman's house.
Police were called to Te Aroha St about 2.15am after a woman living there reported a man had tried to enter to her house.
A security chain prevented the man getting in through the door.
The man said it was all a mistake and that he had just been trying to take a shortcut – through the woman's home.
He is expected to appear in Hamilton District Court today.
