Truck collides with train in Waikato

A man escaped serious injury after his truck collided with a train in the Waikato.

A Fire service spokesperson said the accident happened at Bolton and Kiwitahi Railway Rds, at Morrinsville at around 12.50pm.

The driver had since been freed from the truck. The extent of damage to both the train and truck was still unknown.

Police were in attendance but St John Ambulance was still on its way.
