Great Hamilton Poem Hunt
Relevant offers
The Great Hamilton Poem Hunt is a Hamilton-wide competition to find ten lines of the poem No Escape (or need thereof) written especially for the hunt by Nick Clothier.
Each line will be hidden in a different location around the city and two clues will be posted here at midday (Monday to Thursday).
The first person to fins each line and take it to Waikato Museum will receive prizes including book vouchers and passes to Waterworld, Exscite, Hamilton Zoo and SkyCity Bowlevard.
Clue #7: Behind the sign that tells you
About the settler trees
Nip over the road for a coffee
To celebrate finding the line
Clue #8: The gates at the end of the drive
On the course that Scotland's patron
Lends his name to
Clue #9: The water at the city's heart
A playground for Pukeko chicks
Look under the steepest adventure
Where our children play
Clue #10: Look for the last line
Before the warbird
There those who fell
Are thanked
