David Hansen travelled all the way from Quarry Hills, near Invercargill, for his first trip to the Parachute Christian Music Festival.
Not long after he arrived his smartphone, a Motorola Defy running Android, was flat.
Thankfully, for David, 15, telco 2degrees was on hand with a mobile phone recharge station.
It was the first time the telco, a sponsor of Parachute this year, brought the mobile charging station with it to the festival.
It had dozens of terminals enabling the charging of all manner of cellphone during the weekend.
David had to wait about 20 minutes, today, to grab his internet capable phone after a couple of hours on charge.
“It’s really good,” David said of the festival after catching Avalanche City on Friday night.
“It’s over a big area and there’s heaps of things to do."
