One person is dead after a car and truck collided near Pokeno tonight.
The crash occurred on State Highway 1 about 200m north of the junction with State Highway 2 in Pokeno at about 8.05pm.
Police Serious Crash and Commercial Vehicle Investigation Units along with fire and ambulance were at the scene.
Diversions are in place on SH1 north and south of Pokeno, and at the end of SH2 preventing traffic going north.
The northbound on-ramp at Helenslee Rd is also closed.
Police advised motorists to avoid the area.
