Man kicked in head by horse
A man suffered serious injuries after being kicked in the head by a horse on a rural Waikato property tonight.
The Westpac Waikato Air Ambulance was called to the Glen Murray property about 5:30pm to take the 28-year-old patient to Waikato Hospital.
‘‘He was kicked in the head by a horse,’’ St John Hamilton team manager Ray Bestwick said.
Air Ambulance pilot Dan Harcourt said the man appeared to be drifting in and out of consciousness.
‘‘That’s what he appeared to be because he wasn’t really communicating.’’
