Two men face drugs and burglary charges following the search of an east Hamilton property today.
Detective Sergeant Graham Pitkethley of the Waikato Crime Control Unit carried out the search of the Tramway Rd property this morning in relation to a number of burglary enquiries.
"As a result of our search various items of stolen property and a large amount of cannabis was recovered.
"Two men from the address, aged 47 and 28-years-old were arrested and the older man now faces drugs and burglary charges while the younger male faces drug charges. Both will be appearing in the Hamilton District Court on these matters this week."
Mr Pitkethley said Police were always keen to work with the community to help prevent victims of dishonesty and drug offending.
"If you have information on people involved in such offending please contact your nearest Police Station, your call will be treated in confidence.
"Alternatively information can be left anonymously with Crimestoppers on 0800 555111."
