Waikato police investigating a crash which killed Waihou motorcyclist Kevin O'Connor are urging a female motorist to come forward.

Matamata-Piako Sergeant Neil Mansill said the woman, believed aged in her 30s or 40s, helped at the scene but left before police arrived.

Mr Mansill said the woman may hold vital information to the investigation into Mr O'Connor's death.

The woman, or anyone else with information, is urged to phone Morrinsville police on 07 889-5071.
