Jobs at Hamilton's Beaurepaires commercial vehicle tyre outlet in Frankton are safe after a restructure that has seen its North Island outlets bought by Carters Tyres.
Beaurepaires, a subsidiary of Goodyear Dunlop, said in June it planned to sell 24 outlets and 219 jobs depended on finding a buyer.
Carters, New Zealand's largest independent tyre dealer, has taken over 17 North Island outlets.
Not all of the 219 workers have been kept on but a Goodyear Dunlop spokesman said that Waikato jobs are not affected by the changes. The Feilding branch is the only casualty of the sale and is set to close.
