High winds have forced the closure of Hannaford's Jetty, south of Coromandel, after it suffered severe damage overnight.
A Thames Coromandel District Council engineer is assessing the full extention of the damage.
Jetty users will need ent of the damage this morning, but it is already clear that there will be no quick fix. to use other facilities in the immediate future.
