Honda New Zealand's latest contribution to tree planting in the Waikato has taken its total donation over eight years to just under $210,000.
A cheque for $14,375 was handed over to councillors Stu Kneebone and Paula Southgate, of Waikato Regional Council, at Ingham Honda in Hamilton this week.
The monies have led, or will lead, to the funding of about 70,000 trees.
Under its Honda Tree Fund scheme, the company funds the planting of 10 native trees for every new car sold in New Zealand.
