Wobblies’ Robbie tries to get a Wiggle on
Even The Wiggles are not immune to making fun of Wallabies coach Kiwi Robbie Deans.
The childrens’ group took to the stage at Hamilton’s Founders Theatre this morning for a sell-out show on their farewell tour when they made a jibe at Deans’ expense.
When it was noticed red Wiggle Murray had disappeared from the stage, blue Wiggle Anthony offered this explanation:
"Murray had a call from a bloke called Robbie,’’ Anthony said.
"He’s the coach of a team called the Wallabies and he’s asked Murray to play for them. Apparently they are desperate. They need some big, strong and fit players because they are losing all the time.’’
The friendly dig was greeted with cheers and claps from the crowd.
It is unknown at this time if Murray Wiggle will start off the bench when the Wallabies face the Pumas in Argentina.
