A driver invovled in an accident with a cyclist in Forest Lake on Tuesday has come forward.
The accident at about 8.55pm left a 47-year-old man with serious injuries in Waikato Hospital.
His bicycle was found 40 metres away.
Inspector Leo Tooman praised the local residents for rushing to the man's aid.
A police statement said an 18-year-old man has come forward.
