A Hamilton woman has pleaded guilty after she crashed into a car carrying a father and daughter and fled police.
Kristina Jaimee Jackson, 20, admitted charges of failing to stop to ascertain injury, failing to stop for red and blue lights, driving while disqualified and reckless driving on September 6 in the Hamilton District Court this morning.
The court heard police noticed Jackson driving erratically on Matai St on September 6. As they tried to pull her over, she sped off, turning down a side street reaching speeds up to 110kph.
She then crashed into a car carrying a father and daughter, but drove off without checking to see if they were ok.
Shortly after she mounted a footpath and ran a red light. She was arrested soon after and will be sentenced in December.
The crash is also the subject of a number of investigations, including notification to the IPCA.
