The Waikato Times Food & Wine Festival is on the move to a new location next year.

Tickets are on sale for the popular summer event set for February 16 and 17 at Claudelands Green.

The festival will feature some of Waikato's award-winning wines, food and quality entertainment, including Canadian jazz musician Jan Preston.

Organisers say the new location, in front of the historic Claudelands Grandstand, provides more room for the growing summer event.

It also boasts ample parking, covered seating, space for picnics and seating and a handy children's play area.

Early-bird tickets cost $15.

They are available through Ticketek in the lead-up to Christmas Day.
