Woman denies fraud

A Hamilton woman has pleaded not guilty to fraudulently obtaining funds from Work and Income of more than $100,000.

Faye Tawhiti, 38, pleaded not guilty this week to 17 fraud charges, 15 of which are in relation to her receiving an accommodation supplement totalling $105,884 when allegedly living with her partner.

Tawhiti was remanded on bail to reappear in Hamilton District Court in January.
