Hamilton's Council of Elders is looking for new members.

The council, a community advisory group, comprises 15 Hamiltonians aged 60 and over, each elected for a three-year term.

Two members are standing down and nominations for new members are being sought.

Nominations close on Friday and elections will take place at the AGM on December 7 at the Hamilton City Council Reception Lounge.
