Public Service Association members at Hamilton City Council will meet again next Wednesday to discuss industrial action after talks failed.
City council chief executive Barry Harris is refusing to comment on the detail of a standoff caused by his refusal to agree to a minimum 1 per cent annual pay increase clause in the expired PSA collective agreement.
A PSA statement said industrial action was a last resort for members.
