A murder charge has been laid against a woman over the death of Rotorua woman Michelle Hoffman-Tamm.
A 44-year-old woman appeared in the Rotorua District Court this morning where an initial charge of assault was upgraded to murder.
The accused was stood down to reappear this morning.
Ms Hoffman-Tamm's body was found on November 22 in an area of forest close to SH38, about 10kms out of Murupara.
Hoffman-Tamm was last seen in the late afternoon of November 7, when she left her home on her bicycle.
