The man in red is back

There might be a few more sleeps yet until Santa wriggles down chimneys across the land but on Sunday he will be touching down in Hamilton and cruising down Anglesea St for this year's Santa Parade.
Hamilton Santa Parade manager Hamish Nathan said they were expecting a mixed crowd of about 25,000 people, young and old, to line the streets and wave to their favourite childhood heroes, including the big red man himself.
"It's just an awesome community event," he said.
Mr Nathan said all of the kids' favourites would be there including Spongebob Squarepants, Clifford the Big Red Dog and the all-singing, all-dancing pirate Captain Festus McBoyle - runner-up in the What Now kids choice awards.
But although there are plenty of characters to get excited about, Mr Nathan said Santa was always the highlight.
"It's pretty cool cruising down the street on parade day, watching the kids faces as they wait to see Santa," he said. "Santa's always the big bit, just watching the little kids in awe of Santa."
The pre-parade fun will start at 2.15pm Sunday and the parade will start at 3pm.
