Six months on from the killing of Paeroa pizza shop owner Jordan Voudouris, police say "someone, somewhere" has information about the killing they have not passed on to investigators.
Investigation head Detective Senior Sergeant Mike Whitehead said yesterday the answer to Mr Voudouris' murder was in the community, though the offender was not necessarily from the Paeroa area.
Mr Whitehead said it was often the case in such investigations that as time went by, people's loyalties changed.
He urged anyone who had information, and had not already spoken to the police, to come forward now.
Mr Voudouris was a popular and much-loved member of the Paeroa community.
In June he was found dead in a pool of blood 15 metres from Mykonos Pizza and Pasta, his home and business.
Police later revealed he had been shot just outside the back door to the premises.
Anyone with information can call Paeroa Police on 07 862 8744, or information can be left anonymously with Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
