SEEKING CLUES: Fire safety officers investigate after a fire, believed to be arson, destroyed a Norton Rd, Frankton, house yesterday.

Police have confirmed a house fire in Frankton early yesterday morning was suspicious.
Detective Constable Ian Foster of the Hamilton CIB said Police and Fire Service investigators had completed a forensic examination of the Norton Rd property that was seriously damaged by fire about 12.25am.
Our investigations have confirmed an accelerant was used to ignite the fire and we are appealing for any witnesses or anyone who saw anything suspicious in the area between 11.30pm and 12.25am to come forward.
The house was seriously damaged by the blaze but was vacant at the time, police said.Anyone with any information on the cause of the fire or who may have seen anything suspicious is asked to contact Mr Foster at the Hamilton
